Duke Accepts 547 Early Decision Applicants to Class of 2013

More than 1,500 applied to Duke for Early Decision admission, a 23% increase over last year, according to the University News Office which also reported that the number of students accepted early to the Class of 2013  is 75 more than last year, and represents the largest number of Early Decision offers in the last 10 years.   In total,  275 men and 272 women were offered admission.


Students accepted through Early Decision will comprise about one third of  Duke’s  freshman class that will begin in fall 2009.   Students admitted in the spring through Regular Decision program will comprise the remaining portion of the estimated 1,665 students Duke expects for its Class of 2013.
