Columbia Accepts 9.16% to Class of 2014

Columbia College, combined with the School of Engineering and Applied Science, reported that 9.16% of overall applicants for the Class of 2014 were accepted.

According to the Columbia Spectator, The College accepted 8.3% of its applicants, down from 8.92% last year.  SEAS accepted 13.36% to the Class of 2014, down from 14.42% last year and 17.6% the year before.

The Spectator reported:

Columbia College received 21,747 applications total, up from 21,274 last year and 19,117 the year before.   This year, 1,805 of these applicants were admitted. SEAS admitted 592 of 4,431 total applicants, which increased from 4,154 last year and 3,465 the year before.
