Early Applications Up at Georgetown, Chicago and Northwestern

Early action applications rose nearly 8% according to Georgetown Dean of Undergraduate Admissions Charles Deacon. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions received more than 6,600 early applications for the class of 2015, up from 6,124 last year.

Stanford Reports Early Applications Up 7%

The Stanford Daily reported that the school’s admissions office had received approximately 5,950 applications under its restrictive early-action program, a 7% increase from 2009.

MIT Reports ~14% Rise in Early Action Applications

MIT has received nearly 6,500 undergraduate early action applications to the Class of 2015, an increase of about 14 percent over last year when there were 5,684 early action applicants.

Early Decision Results for Class of 2014

More than 30% of the Class of 2014 has been admitted under binding Early Decision programs at Cornell, Dartmouth, Swarthmore, Columbia, Amherst, Williams College, Middlebury, Wesleyan (CT) and Northwestern.
