America’s Best Colleges, published by Forbes Magazine, and Best Colleges 2010 from U.S. News are out. Many of the usual suspects - Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT - ranked high on both lists. There were surprises as well.

Applications Drop at Top Liberal-Arts Colleges: 20% Decline at Williams

Bloomberg reported a decline in applications to seven of eight highly-ranked liberal-arts colleges, led by a 20% drop at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
